WOW!

Another week has gone by and my work has been slowing down due to CNY around the corner.

Which means more time dedicated to this blog.

Hopefully i have time to finish up CNY post!

At the mean time why not i tantalize you all some delicious rainbow cakes?

I know i am crazy to start this journey to find the perfect rainbow cake.. ALL because of Dean & Deluca's Rainbow cake had definitely set a benchmark on my taste-bud that i had to find one to beat it!

And let me just start off with this image

This photo has nothing to do with the rainbow cakes but i like how this lady is able to eat her dinner all by herself - Feels like totally not in singapore but somewhere is the street of paris or london.

And let me introduce to you my daily essential - Salt and pepper, iPhone & its portable charger and my Nikon DSLR Camera D5100.

Arrays of dried food such as nuts and fruits

Arrays of "atas" (high ended teas)

Cafe quite big i was not expecting it to be, since orchard places are very expensive.

It feels good to have a group of friends who understand why you would take the time to photo a food, edit and share it on social media. Other would have devour the food by now.

Now back to the main topic for this post - RAINBOW CAKES REVIEW

Michelle recommended and saying that they have the best french toast in town - sadly it was sold out. But i am so thankful that it was sold out because i would never knew how fun to try out rainbow cakes.

The right amount of sinful-whipped goodness!

After taking all the necessary picture. I was super curious and wonder if there is any chance that each layer have its own unique taste?

Of course i had to pick my favorite YELLOW colored layer, to my huge surprise. It taste like BANANA! for a moment i thought that i am dreaming until the rest of them (Kimberley, Patricia and Michelle) tried, and off we went into guessing the colored flavor layer.

Let me see if i can still recall correctly.. from my ever so trained taste-bud.

Red - Raspberry
Orange - Mango
Yellow - Banana
Green - Kaya/Pandan
Blue - Blueberry
Grey - Sesame?? (Kim had a different answer but i totally forgot what she mention)

Michelle ordered her "Dinner" - i think its like those Mix Berries Waffles

Who does not love waffles for Dinner?

So beautifully placed that i had to take a foodies shot! #nofilter by the way!

Overall Comment:

We had so much fun guessing what flavor it is that some really caught us off guard and some debate on what actually it was.

Didnt had a chance to try the waffle but by the looks of it and Dessert for Dinner? WHY NOT?!
(Michelle did comment that the french toast is still better! ^^)

I never knew cafe like this that carry rainbow cakes can bring so much fun into conversation, and i really appreciate effort that the bakery have put into this cake that simply amazes me till this date.

This is why it sparks my adventure on searching the best rainbow cake in Singapore! If you know any cafe or places that also give you the wow factor. Comment!!!!

Rainbow cakes - 5/5 stars!!

Waffles - 3.5 /5 stars

Atmosphere - 4.5/5 stars (Maybe because we went at 9pm, less crowd)

Price wise - average $15-$20 per pax!

Location can be found at the map here.

  1. Nice review, thanks for sharing! There is this map called CafeSG that lets you find all the cafes in Singapore! Super useful for cafe hopping and to find cafes near home and workplace.
